Coalmont
Help to spread the spirit of the holidays and pick up a tag this week!

Each year, Tolbert Yilmaz School of Dance and Roswell Dance Theatre conduct a great charity effort to provide gifts for the citizens of Coalmont, Tennessee.  Our dance families generously donate gifts for over 500 individuals.  Please help us by taking a tag and taking part in this great effort.   RED TAGS are posted at the Main Studio and the Annex.   Each tag lists the wish list items for the individual.   The recipients are all ages and have needs that include not only things we think of as gift items, but everyday basic needs.  We collect the items in the first week of December, (4th - 9th), sort and organize the bags, and FILL A COMPLETE 18-wheeler, that is driven to the town to deliver the gifts.  We need your help!

To participate, pick up a tag at the studio.  PLEASE SIGN THE COALMONT SIGN OUT BOOK at the desk before leaving the studio.  We need to track the tags that are taken so that all tags are fulfilled.

 Why Coalmont Tennessee ?

The great grandparents of our Artistic Director, Nancy Tolbert Yilmaz, were some of the original settlers of Coalmont, Tennessee. During the coal mining decades, Coalmont was a thriving community. Today the Grundy County community has fallen on hard times due to the lack of industry, commerce and education. Mrs. Nancy loves the people of Coalmont and believes in giving back to those who have helped her family in the past.
