Your attention is requested Center Stage as we celebrate Tutu Day!
February 2 (2/2) is a special day each year for ballerinas, costume directors, stage managers, and everyone else connected to the stage performance of ballet. It is the day we celebrate the bejeweled garments that transform ballerinas into magical beings.
This year for Tutu Day, Roswell Dance Theatre is fundraising to support our current – and future! – tutu collection.
What it is: Tutu Day is a chance to support Roswell Dance Theatre (a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization) through a small donation of $22.22 (or another amount of your choice).
Why give? The beautiful tutus that enhance RDT productions like The Nutcracker are professionally made and maintained, but they have to be replaced, renewed, or made regularly. Depending on the style, construction and embellishments, tutus can cost well into the thousands of dollars! Tutu Day is raising funds specifically for these works of art.
