Lending a helping hand, raising funds for a community in need or connecting one-on-one to sign an autograph for an aspiring ballerina, our dancers share their time and their hearts with our community.
Our dancers are members of many charitable organizations and often invite their fellow dance families to donate time or goods to specific causes. The spirit of philanthropy that begins with our HUGS event is carried into other efforts each year.
Tolbert Yilmaz School of Dance and Roswell Dance Theatre offer FREE performances at many festivals, street fairs and community events. For over 25 years, our themed float has been an award-winner in the Roswell Youth Day Parade each October. Another annual favorite performance is the Roswell Arts Festival in September.
Invite us! Our dancers love to perform and are members of many service organizations. They are available to perform in exchange for service hours. If you would like to add dance entertainment to your event, please contact us to discuss the details.
Studio-Wide Holiday Tradition
For over 30 years, the studio has conducted a Christmas Angel program for the families of Coalmont, TN. Nancy Tolbert Yilmaz’s mother was raised in this small coal-mining town, and the dance families have generously supported this very large effort to bring Christmas to over 600 residents of Coalmont.
Our after-school program provides transportation for enrolled students to the studio from area elementary and middle schools Monday through Thursday each week. Students arrive at the studio and have a supervised program for homework, snack and participation in dance classes.
The program is offered at Roswell North Elementary, Mountain Park Elementary, Vickery Mill Elementary, Sweet Apple Elementary, Crabapple Middle School and Elkins Pointe Middle School. Space is limited, so contact the studio as early as possible to request a spot.
Badge Program: Girl Scouts will earn their badge by watching a rehearsal of our current show at Tolbert Yilmaz School of Dance, have a light snack and learn choreography too! Cost for the 2-hour workshop is $12. We hold this event annually in November for the Nutcracker and again in March for our Spring Concert. Nutcracker Badge Workshop – November 10 and 17, 2018, Spring Concert Badge Workshop – March 2, 2019.
Badge Program Registration opens in September. Space is very limited, make your reservations early!
Patch Program: Attend a performance of a fabulous ballet and get a patch. Each Girl Scout ticket includes a balcony seat and a commemorative patch. The Nutcracker performance dates are: Friday November 23 – Sunday December 2, 2018. The Spring Concert dates are March 23-24, 2019.
Tickets will be available in September for Nutcracker and late January for the Spring Concert.
