Roswell Dance Theatre loves to connect with the community. reaching out

Outreach programs connect us to our community.

Lending a helping hand, raising funds for a community in need or connecting one-on-one to sign an autograph for an aspiring ballerina, our dancers share their time and their hearts with our community.

Dancer-Initiated Events
Our dancers are members of many charitable organizations and often invite their fellow dance families to donate time or goods to specific causes. The spirit of philanthropy that begins with our HUGS event is carried into other efforts each year.

School-Initiated Events
Tolbert Yilmaz School of Dance and Roswell Dance Theatre offer FREE performances at many festivals, street fairs and community events. For over 25 years, our themed float has been an award-winner in the Roswell Youth Day Parade each October. Another annual favorite performance is the Roswell Arts Festival in September.

Community-Initiated Events
Invite us! Our dancers love to perform and are members of many service organizations.  They are available to perform in exchange for service hours. If you would like to add dance entertainment to your event, please contact us to discuss the details.

Studio-Wide Holiday Tradition
For over 30 years, the studio has conducted a Christmas Angel program for the families of Coalmont, TN. Nancy Tolbert Yilmaz’s mother was raised in this small coal-mining town, and the dance families have generously supported this very large effort to bring Christmas to over 600 residents of Coalmont.

After-School Dance Program

Our after-school program is available for students from Roswell North Elementary, Mountain Park Elementary, Sweet Apple Elementary, Crabapple Crossing Elementary, and Hembree Springs Elementary from September through May. Registration in one or more of our dance classes is REQUIRED in order to request admittance to our after-school program.

For Pre-K through 5th Grade students enrolled in dance class, the program provides transportation and after-school supervision on days when students are registered for a dance class. Our large studio vans transport students from their school to the NEW dance studio (601 Houze Way, Roswell, GA 30076) Monday through Friday each week. Students arrive at the studio and have a supervised program for homework, snack, and participation in dance classes. Student must be picked up from the dance studio by 6:30pm.

  • Regular tuition rates apply and the after school program is an additional $10 per day, per student. The fee is automatically built into the dancer’s monthly tuition. (For example: 1 day a week would cost $40 per month, 4 days a week would cost $160.)
  • The cost is a flat fee per month — the cost remains the same even if your student misses a week.
  • Parent or Guardian must notify their child’s elementary school in writing that Tolbert Yilmaz School of Dance is allowed to transport student.
  • Students are supervised before and after class by Mrs. Hillary Gustin. She helps students prepare for their dance class (clothing, hair, snack, etc.), and she also provides assistance with homework.
