Roswell Dance Theatre’s Movement Collective (MoCo) seeks out current industry professionals in all facets of commercial dance to provide master classes and to set work on the company. MoCo aims to provide versatility training for all dancers and especially for those who are interested in aspects of the commercial dance industry such as Broadway, TV/film, cruise ships, Disney and beyond.

A strong focus on each dancer’s individual artistry within a wide variety of dance techniques is what sets this select group of dancers apart. MoCo strives to emphasize process over product in its training, an approach that sets the RDT MoCo apart from other companies in the area. MoCo dancers present their own unique concert each spring and have a varying number of pieces in the end-of-year recitals based on their individual schedules. Additional weekend rehearsals will be added leading up to the annual Movement Collective spring concert.

Dancers must audition for acceptance/placement in the company. The current company levels include: Premiere, Ensemble, Swing, Principal, and Elite. ALL Movement Collective dancers participate in one “Sunday Funday” per month focusing on commercial dance styles with MoCo faculty, guest teachers, master classes and dance-based seminars.
