2024 Recital Information

COSTUME ALTERATIONS
Tuesday March 19 4:30-6pm | Thursday March 21 4:30-6pm
Our Assistant Costume Mistress Mary Maloy will be available to make alterations for you at no charge. Please mark your calendar to come see Mary on one of these days if your dancer’s recital costume needs alterations. (These are the only times available for free alterations.) Check in with the Front Desk upon arrival.

TYSOD/RDT RECITAL TICKETS

All recital tickets will be sold through RCAC. Tickets are $17 each for reserved seating at the Roswell Cultural Arts Center, 950 Forrest St., Roswell GA 30075.

Initially, you will be able to purchase a maximum of (6) tickets for each of the shows in which your child performs. All remaining tickets will become available for purchase on Tuesday April 23 at NOON for any families that need more tickets.

Some things to remember…

• Be sure you check the schedule and are purchasing tickets for the correct show(s). The RDT and TYSOD Recital show schedules are linked at the top of this page.
• Shows will sell out. Plan to purchase any additional tickets needed beginning Tuesday April 23 at NOON for the best selection.
• We recommend purchasing your tickets from a computer, instead of a mobile device because it is easier to select seats.
• You can volunteer during your dancer’s recital, work one hour before the show, and watch the show for free without having to purchase a ticket.

PERFORMANCE HAIR AND MAKEUP

RECITAL PHOTOGRAPHS
Mon April 15 – Fri April 19
Our recital photographer will take your dancer’s photo at the studio during his/her regular scheduled class time. All dancers will have their individual photograph taken as well as a group picture of each class.

• Please bring dancers to class in costume with hair and heavy street makeup and lipstick done.
• Parents will not be allowed beyond the lobby to assist dancers with costumes, hair or makeup. If your dancer has back-to-back classes, send their costumes (labeled), and our TYSOD staff will help them change.
• Photographs professionally made by Dunaway’s Studio. No pre-orders necessary.
• To purchase: proofs will be available online the week following photographs and will be for sale online only. This link and information will be emailed to you and posted here as soon as it becomes available.

TYSOD Photo Schedule

Monday-Friday Classes: photos will be taken during your dancer’s regular scheduled class time at the studio.

Saturday Classes: photos will be taken on Friday, April 19 at the times indicated below.

RDT Photo Schedule

MoCo Premiere & Ensemble, Swing, Principal and Elite, and PrePro Trainees will take their pictures during their regular class time/day.

RECITAL DRESS REHEARSALS AND PERFORMANCES

RDT Dress Rehearsals and Recital Performances (ALL will be held the same weekend)
Tues May 7 – Sun May 12
All Dress Rehearsals and Performances will take place at the Roswell Cultural Arts Center (950 Forrest St, Roswell 30075). See the 2024 RDT Recital Schedule for the exact time your dancer is performing. Dancers are to arrive at all dress rehearsals and performances at specified call times with all costumes and hair and makeup done.

SHOW 1

• Dress Rehearsal: Tues May 7  5-9 pm | call time = 5pm | tech/dress run at 5:30 | dismissal at 9
• Performance: Sat May 11 @ 3pm | call time = 1:30pm
• PrePro Trainee, MoCo Premiere, Ensemble & Swing levels attend this dress rehearsal.

SHOW 2

• Dress Rehearsal: All pieces will be rehearsed on Tues/Wed
• Performance: Sat May 11 @ 7:30pm | call time = 6pm

SHOW 3

• Dress Rehearsal: Wed May 8  5-9pm | call time = 5pm | tech/dress run at 5:30 | dismissal at 9pm
• Performance: Sun May 12 @ 3:00pm | call time = 1:30pm
• Jeanne’s RDA, Heather’s RDA, MoCo Principal & Elite attend this rehearsal.
• Outstanding Soloists can come at 4:30 to do a spacing walk through on stage.

Teacher Assistants will need to attend Open School Dress Rehearsals and Recitals for each Open School class they assist.

Open School Dress Rehearsals
Thurs May 9 – Wed May 15
All Dress Rehearsals will take place during your dancer’s regular class day/time at the Roswell Cultural Arts Center. Dancers are to arrive at the Roswell Cultural Arts Center (950 Forrest St, Roswell 30075) dressed in their costume with hair and makeup done.

• All Aerial Silks and Acro classes performing opening numbers will rehearse Fri May 10 @ 5:30-8.
• If your dancer has back-to-back classes, it is your responsibility as the parent to be prepared to assist them with their costume changes in between classes in the dressing rooms.  **Female parents/guardians only in the dressing rooms**
• During Dress Rehearsals, please ask a TYSOD Faculty or Staff Member for directions to our quick change Dressing Rooms. Changing is only permitted in the dressing rooms, not in the lobby restrooms.
• Parents are welcome to watch Dress Rehearsals in the RCAC auditorium. Please use this time to take photographs and video, as you will not be permitted to during the performance.

No Open School or Aerial Silks classes will be held at TYSOD after May 8. The season culminates with dress rehearsals and recitals.

Open School Recital Performances
Thurs May 16 – Sun May 19
Recitals take place at the Roswell Cultural Arts Center (950 Forrest St, Roswell 30075). Each show has been carefully scheduled with classes assigned to a specific show. See the 2024 TYSOD Recital Schedule for the exact time your dancer is performing.
