We are so excited to showcase the dancers’ hard work and growth this season!

The 2026 Recital Handbook contains all the details on ticket sales, photos, costumes guidelines, etc. for this year’s Recitals.

SPOTLIGHT CELEBRATIONS
Celebrate your dancer’s shining moment in the spotlight with a special tribute in the recital program. Seeing special photos and your message is the perfect reminder that you’ll always be their biggest fan.

RECITAL TICKETS
Recital tickets will be sold online through the Roswell Cultural Arts Center and are $17 each (plus fees) for reserved seating.

TYSOD Families: You will receive an email before tickets go on sale with all details about buying tickets. Initially, you will be able to purchase a maximum of (6) tickets for each of the shows in which your child performs.

RDT Families: Initially, you will be able to purchase a maximum of (5) tickets for the Roswell Dance Theatre Recital Show.

  • Check the Recital Show Schedule (linked above) and be sure to purchase tickets for the correct show(s).
  • Shows will sell out. Plan to purchase any additional tickets needed beginning Tues April 28 at NOON for the best selection.
  • We recommend purchasing from a computer instead of a mobile device for easier seat selection.

WE NEED VOLUNTEERS to help with flower sales, concessions, and our gift boutique at all recital shows. All volunteers will be permitted to watch the show for free from the balcony after fulfilling volunteer duties. 

RECITAL PHOTOGRAPHS
Mon April 27 – Fri May 1
Our photographer will take each dancer’s individual photo and a group picture of each class at the studio during regular scheduled class time, EXCEPT Saturday and RDT classes.

  • Please bring dancers to class in costume with hair, makeup, and lipstick done. Costume Guidelines for hairstyles, tights, shoes, etc. can be found below.
  • Parents will not be allowed beyond the lobby to assist dancers. If your dancer has back-to-back classes, send their costumes (labeled), and our TYSOD staff will help them change.
  • Photographs professionally made by Dunaway’s Studio. Proofs and purchasing will be available online during the week of May 4-8.

RDT Photo Schedule

Levels 1-4 Thurs April 30 from 6:30-9pm
Levels 5-14 Tues April 28 from 7-9pm
MoCo Premiere during regular class day and time
MoCo Ensemble-Elite Tues April 28, after Ballet Company photos
PrePro Trainee during regular class day and time

OUR COSTUME GUIDELINES have all the details on how your dancer should look for their photos, dress rehearsal, and recital show, including costume accessories, tights, and hairstyle.

REMINDER: It is very important that you put recital costume(s) away in the closet and do not take them out or wear them until they are needed. Costumes cannot be replaced!

PERFORMANCE HAIR AND MAKEUP
Whether your dancer is a seasoned pro needing a refresher course, or making their stage debut, we have hair and makeup tips for you!

Bobby pins (closed at the end)
Hairspray
Gel
Fine tooth comb to smooth bumps
Hair ties
Hair net (choose the color closest hair)
Brush for smoothing

RECITAL DRESS REHEARSALS

RDT Dress Rehearsal
Thurs May 7 from 5-9pm
The RDT Dress Rehearsal will take place at the Roswell Cultural Arts Center. Dancers should arrive at dress rehearsal with all costumes and hair and makeup done.

TYSOD Dress Rehearsals
Fri May 8 – Thurs May 14

  • At the Roswell Cultural Arts Center
  • All Dress Rehearsals will take place during your dancer’s regular class day/time. 

All Aerial Silks Students:

MANDATORY rehearsal Friday, May 8
All Intermediate Silks Classes:  5-6pm
All Beginner & Advanced Silks Classes:  6:30-7:30pm

Toddlerdance dancers will make their stage debut in a special performance on Thurs May 14 during their regular class day and time.

  • Dancers should arrive at the Roswell Cultural Arts Center dressed in their costume with hair and makeup done.
  • Parents are welcome to watch Dress Rehearsals and take photographs/video (NO FLASH). Photography and/or Videography of any type is strictly prohibited during the recital shows.
  • If your dancer has back-to-back classes, it is YOUR responsibility to assist them with their quick costume change.  TYSOD Faculty/Staff will direct you to the quick-change dressing rooms. No quick changes in the lobby restrooms! **Female parents/guardians only in the dressing rooms**

RECITAL SHOWS

RDT Recital Show
Sat May 9 at 7pm, CALL TIME: 5:30pm

  • At the Roswell Cultural Arts Center
  • Arrive at 5:30pm Call Time with all costumes and hair and makeup done.

TYSOD Recital Shows
Fri May 15 – Sun May 17

  • Recitals take place at the Roswell Cultural Arts Center.
  • See the 2026 TYSOD Recital Schedule for the exact time your dancer is performing.
  • All dancers must arrive 45 minutes before the schedule show start time.
  • Drop off for all dancers will be at the side door. Dancers do not enter through the RCAC Main Lobby.
  • All shows start promptly on time. Please arrive earlier than show time. Shows are not held and will begin at the stated show time.
  • Parking is available at the Cultural Arts Center, City Hall, and the Southern Post Parking Deck. Plan and allow extra time to park and walk. There is no parking at the Roswell Library or in any fire zones.
  • All shows will be professionally recorded and available for purchase to stream/download.
