The COMPLETE 2025 Recital Handbook (all info on ticket sales, photos, costumes guidelines, etc.) is being distributed along with dancers’ costumes over the next few weeks. We will update this page with those details and any other info you need to know for this year’s recital performances. IMPORTANT NOW: Get out your calendars and SAVE THE DATES for your dancer’s dress rehearsals and recital performances.
All dress rehearsals and recital performances will be held at the Roswell Cultural Arts Center, 950 Forrest Street, Roswell 30075.

CHECK THE COSTUME GUIDELINES for all the details on how your dancer should look for their photos, dress rehearsal, and recital performance, including costume accessories, tights, and hairstyle. We can’t wait to see everything looking their best!

VOLUNTEER AT RECITALS
WE NEED VOLUNTEERS to help with flower sales, concessions, and our gift boutique at all recital shows. All volunteers will be permitted to watch the show from the balcony after fulfilling volunteer duties without purchasing a ticket.
COSTUME ALTERATIONS
Tuesday March 25 4:30-6pm | Thursday March 27 4:30-6pm
Our Assistant Costume Mistress Mary Maloy will be available to make alterations for you at no charge. Please mark your calendar to come see Mary on one of these days if your dancer’s recital costume needs alterations. (These are the only times available for free alterations.) Check in with the Front Desk upon arrival.
REMINDER: It is very important that you put recital costume(s) away in the closet and do not take them out or wear them until they are needed. It is important that everyone look their best in the recital, so please take care not to wear/play with/get dirty all costumes before they are needed for recital performances. Costumes cannot be replaced!

RECITAL PHOTOGRAPHS
Mon April 21 – Fri April 25
Our recital photographer will take your dancer’s photo at the studio during his/her regular scheduled class time, EXCEPT Saturday and RDT classes. All dancers will have their individual photograph taken as well as a group picture of each class.
- Please bring dancers to class in costume with hair and heavy street makeup and lipstick done.
- Parents will not be allowed beyond the lobby to assist dancers with costumes, hair or makeup. If your dancer has back-to-back classes, send their costumes (labeled), and our TYSOD staff will help them change.
- Photographs professionally made by Dunaway’s Studio. Proofs will be made available for online purchase on the Dunaway’s Studio website the week of April 28-May 2.

TYSOD/RDT RECITAL TICKETS
Recital tickets will be sold online through the Roswell Cultural Arts Center. Tickets are $17 each for reserved seating at the Roswell Cultural Arts Center, 950 Forrest St., Roswell GA 30075.
RDT Dance Families: Initially, you will be able to purchase a maximum of (5) tickets for the Roswell Dance Theatre Recital Performance.
TYSOD Dance Families: You will receive an email before tickets go on sale with all details about buying tickets. Initially, you will be able to purchase a maximum of (6) tickets for each of the shows in which your child performs.
All remaining tickets will become available for purchase on Tuesday, April 29 at NOON for any families that need more tickets.
Some things to remember…
- Check the show schedule and be sure to purchase tickets for the correct show(s). The RDT and TYSOD Recital show schedules are linked at the top of this page.
- Shows will sell out. Plan to purchase any additional tickets needed beginning Tues April 29 at NOON for the best selection.
- We recommend purchasing your tickets from a computer, instead of a mobile device because it is easier to select seats.
- You can volunteer during your dancer’s recital, work one hour before the show, and watch the show for free without having to purchase a ticket.

The RDT Dress Rehearsal and Performance will take place at the Roswell Cultural Arts Center (950 Forrest St, Roswell 30075). Dancers are to arrive at dress rehearsal and the performance with all costumes and hair and makeup done.
RDT Company Dress Rehearsal: Thursday, May 8 from 5:30-9pm
RDT Company Recital Show: Friday, May 9 at 7pm. CALL TIME: 5:30pm
* Teacher Assistants need to attend Open School Dress Rehearsals and Recitals for each Open School class they assist.
Open School Dress Rehearsals

All Dress Rehearsals will take place during your dancer’s regular class day/time at the Roswell Cultural Arts Center. Dancers are to arrive at the Roswell Cultural Arts Center (950 Forrest St, Roswell 30075) dressed in their costume with hair and makeup done.
- All Aerial Silks Classes students must attend their MANDATORY rehearsal Saturday, May 10:
- Beginner Silks Classes: Sat May 10 from 12:15-1:30pm
- Intermediate & Advanced Silks Classes: Sat May 10 from 1:30-2:30
- If your dancer has back-to-back classes, it is your responsibility as the parent to be prepared to assist them with their costume changes in between classes in the dressing rooms. TYSOD Faculty/Staff will direct you to the quick-change dressing rooms – no quick changes in the lobby restrooms! **Female parents/guardians only in the dressing rooms**
- During Dress Rehearsals, please ask a TYSOD Faculty or Staff Member for directions to our quick change Dressing Rooms. Changing is only permitted in the dressing rooms, not in the lobby restrooms.
- Parents are welcome to watch Dress Rehearsals in the RCAC auditorium. Please use this time to take photographs and video (NO FLASH), as you will not be permitted to during the performance.
Open School Recital Performances
Fri May 16 – Sun May 18
Recitals take place at the Roswell Cultural Arts Center (950 Forrest St, Roswell 30075). Each show has been carefully scheduled with classes assigned to a specific show. See the 2025 TYSOD Recital Schedule for the exact time your dancer is performing. All dancers must arrive 45 minutes before the schedule show start time.
