Ballet Company Auditions

Fri May 3    4:30-6:00pm OR 6-7:30 pm*:   New Dancers ages 10-12
*Time will be assigned prior to May 3. Must be age 10 by Sept. 1, 2024.
Fri May 3   4:30-6pm:   Current PDP dancers
Fri May 3   6-7:30pm:   Current Apprentice through Level 2
Sat May 4   9-10:30am:   New Dancers ages 13 & up AND all current Level 3 and up

Dancers Age 10 and up who are NEW to RDT must be age 10 by September 1, 2024.
Pointe work will be done in the class for dancers who are already on pointe.
Ballet Audition Dress Code: black leotard, pink tights, pink ballet shoes or pointe shoes.

The Ballet Company is designed for dancers who are serious about their commitment to dance training. RDT’s Ballet Audition determines acceptance into the company as well as placement in the appropriate level. Ballet Company levels include the Preparatory Dance Program (PDP), Apprentice, and Levels 1 through 14.

The PreProfessional Company is an additional company within the Roswell Dance Theatre. Dancers who have completed at least one year in the Ballet Company (not including PDP) are eligible to be considered for PrePro. Students are observed and evaluated throughout the year. Acceptance into PrePro is by invitation and PrePro results are posted along with Company results.

Note: Dancers may be asked to audition at a time other than the time listed for their age or level. They also may be asked to attend an additional audition with another group on the times listed above.

Movement Collective Audition

Sat May 4   10:30-11:30am:   New Dancers age 14 & up AND current MoCo Swing & up
Sat May 4   11:30am-1pm:   New Dancers ages 10-13 AND current MoCo Premiere and Ensemble

MoCo Audition Dress Code: black leotard, black or pink footless tights

The Movement Collective (formerly the RDT Modern Company) provides intense training for dancers who are interested in versatile training experience focused on aspects of the commercial dance industry, such as Broadway, TV/Film, Cruise Ships, Disney and more. RDT’s MoCo Audition determines acceptance into the company as well as placement in the appropriate level: Premiere, Ensemble, Swing, Principal, and Elite.
