The annual, nonrefundable registration fee, as well as tuition for the first (September) and last (May) month of the season.
After Oct 31, 2024:
We invite prospective students to tour our studio during Mon-Fri business hours and learn about all our facility has to offer: sprung floors, high ceilings, large windows, and high-tech video/sound systems in all our custom-built studio spaces.
In August each year, we host an Open House for all current and prospective dance families, as well as the greater community. This is a great time to see our studio and meet our teachers.
Classes start Sept 3, 2024 and go through end-of-year recitals in May 2025.
TYSOD is closed on the following holidays: Thanksgiving Break (Nov 25-Dec 1), Winter Break (Dec 23-Jan 5), and Spring Break (Apr 7-13).

During the month of September, our faculty spend considerable time getting to know and evaluating each student. We want your dancer to be appropriately engaged and challenged! If the instructor feels your dancer would benefit from a different class, a recommendation will be made and we’ll assist you with the class change.
The Tolbert Yilmaz School of Dance has a dress code for all dance students that covers everything from tops to toes. Please see the full dress code on our Policies page.
There are a couple of different ways you can handle your tuition payments, either annually or monthly. Please refer to the detailed information on our Policies page.
All Tolbert Yilmaz School of Dance tuition payment are processed through your JackRabbit portal using the credit card information you entered at the time of registration. We cannot accept in-person payments, so we kindly ask that you take care to keep your credit card information up-to-date in JackRabbit.
TYSOD/RDT Class Tuition does NOT include performance fees. All performing classes (with the exception of Aerial Silks and Toddlerdance) have a recital at the Roswell Cultural Arts Center. Families are encouraged to attend this end-of-season celebration of their dancer’s learning and hard work!
Recital performance fees are charged in November and include a recital costume and facility fees. See p. 18 of the 2024-25 Studio Manual for recital fee schedule.
To drop or add a class, please go to the Policies page and follow all directions to submit an online form.
ALL enrolled students must have their 2024-25 season class schedule set no later than Oct 31, 2024.
After Oct 31, schedule changes and new student registrations will incur a $75 late fee.

For security reasons, we do not allow parents or other family members to go past the lobby during class hours to watch their dancers. Dancers get to show off all they have learned at our end-of-year recitals in May. Families are encouraged to attend and celebrate their dancer’s hard work!
Open school students ages 5 and up who are currently enrolled in at least one ballet class are invited to audition for the annual RDT production of The Nutcracker.
All performing classes (with the exception of Toddlerdance) have a recital at the Roswell Cultural Arts Center in May.
